Race to Stop Global Warming

WELCOME to our 3rd annual Seattle Race to Stop Global Warming.

The Race ended on Sunday September 28, 2003.

September 29, 2003 - Alomost 600 runners, walkers, toddlers and crawlers enjoyed a marvelous sunny fall morning while racing from Westlake Park through downtown Seattle and onto the express lanes of I5.

Results:

Race Chair and Seattle City Councilmember Heidi Wills spoke about the challenges and solutions to global warming and then joined her 12 member "Team Wills" for the 8k run.

When racers crossed the finish line they had the opportunity to learn about our sponsors and what they are doing to move toward a sustainable business path while enjoying food and beverages from Clif Bar, Stonyfield Farm, Nature's Path Foods, Vitamin Water and others as Whole Foods hosted our Naural Food/Beverage table. In addition, there were a number of organizations that are focused on global warming present.

Help us make next year's race even better by filling out the Race Evaluation form. Thanks!
