Race Chair and Netwon Mayor David B. Cohen not only spoke about the challenges and solutions to global warming, but also walked the course with Green House Network executive director Eban Goodstein. Very important racer and Marathon legend Joan Benoit Samuelson ran the 8k, led the children's events and handed out awards.

"The event overall was great. Very well organized and staff/volunteers were helpful. I participated last year and the new course this year was just as good as last year. The mile markers were great and water stops were good too. There was enough staff and police during the race that I always knew where to go." - 2003 Race Participant

Finally, when racers crossed the finish line they had the opportunity to enjoy food and beverages from Stonyfield Farm, Nature's Path Foods and others. In addition, there were a number of organizations that are focused on global warming present.

Help us make next year's race even better by filling out the Race Evaluation form. Thanks!
